Please join us for our annual summer picnic! This year, we'll be holding the event at Woodlawn and the Pope-Leighey House in Alexandria, Virginia.

This historic site is home to two iconic houses: Woodlawn, built in 1805, and the Pope-Leighey House, built by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1940. In addition, the site is also home to the Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food and Agriculture.

The picnic will begin at 12PM and last until 2PM. We'll be providing lunch, but bring your own picnic blanket or camp chairs as we'll be relaxing on the lawn. If you have a favorite lawn game, you're welcome to bring that, too! Feel free to stay and explore the property until it closes at 4PM.

In addition to our picnic, tours of the two houses will be offered in the morning from 10AM-12PM. They will focus on both the history of the houses as well as recent preservation efforts. Please note: Tour spots are limited, and you must register for a specific tour time below. Registration for the picnic does not guarantee you a spot on a tour.

We will not be offering AIA credits for the tours or the picnic. For more information on the property, please visit the Woodlawn and Pope-Leighey House website.
