Please join APT DC as we spend an evening recognizing and learning from some of our members’ incredible work preserving our national monuments. The event will include two short lectures followed by a joint question and answer session, and our distinguished speakers are:

Audrey Tepper, an Historic Architect with the National Park Service at the National Mall and Memorial Parks, who will speak about several of the current projects at the Mall as well as the challenges associated with maintaining and preserving well-known monuments and memorials.

Tim Vandewalle, Superintendent at the Christman Company, who will discuss the restoration of the U.S. Capitol dome using the "Lock-N-Stitch" technique for the historic cast iron repairs, including the strengths, limitations, and preservation options provided by this repair methodology.

Beverages and snacks will be provided. We hope you'll join us for this special event!
